Daily Bible Nugget #55, Isaiah 59:1-2

The Nugget:

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

My Comment:

The Lord is listening, awaiting our prayer. He can and will hear. He is ready to save each of us. A possible hindrance that blocks our response to His call is that our sin separates us from God. Our sins have hid his face from us. That is why he will not hear. Now that does not mean that if you have sin in your life that you cannot come to Him! No one can become good enough to deserve salvation. Rather, we must repent and confess our sins and ask Him to save us, and He will.
