My Comment:

It is essential to spiritual growth that we read and study the Bible enough (at least 20 minutes a day) often enough (no less than four days a week) to experience the change God desires to work in our lives. Start by reading through the New Testament several times. It will change your life for the better!

From Ken Sagely’s FB post:

PSALM 119.11 Thy word have i hid in mine heart, thine might not sin against thee!!

PSALM 119.97 Oh how I love thy law, it is my meditation all the day!

COLOSSIANS 3.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

EPHESIANS 6.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

HEBREWS 4.12 For the Word of God is quick, and Powerful, and Sharper than any two-edge Sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 CORINTHIANS 10.4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; 5 Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

STANDING ON THE PROMISES

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
over-coming daily with Spirit’s sword ,
standing on the promises of God.

Standing, Standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,

I’m standing on the promises of God.
