Daily Bible Nugget #186, Romans 15:4

The Nugget:

Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

My Comment:

The Scriptures are designed for producing hope. If you need more hope, or stronger hope, let the Bible become your source of hope. That is what it has been written for. In times of personal and national trial, the Bible furnishes hope. In the Bible are promises God has made. A thorough knowledge of these eliminates despair and discouragement. God is able to comfort us through His Word. With the Bible available, there is no reason to feel hopeless! God knows all about each of us and our individual situation (Psalm 40:17). The Bible tells us God cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
