On Reading

Proverbs and Quotations

  1. “Resolve to edge in a little reading every day, if it is but a single sentence. If you gain fifteen minutes a day, it will make itself felt at the end of the year.”  Horace Mann

My Comment:

We must take time to read. It would be good to “edge in a little reading every day.” There are many things worth reading. I think the best book worth reading over and over is the Bible. I suggest that you start with the New Testament. Read it through several times. When I began reading the New Testament in earnest, I managed to read it all the way through once a month for almost three months, and it changed my whole life. I invite you to do the same. This is a good way to make time count for eternity.
