The Nugget:
Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
My Comment:
The Scriptures were written for our learning, that through them we might have both comfort and hope (see Romans 15:4). Jeremiah had times when he was feeling downhearted. By some he is called the weeping prophet. But when he fed upon the Word of God, God’s word brought him joy and his heart rejoiced. That can be our experience, too, as we take time to read God’s Word found in the Bible. If you want more joy in your life, try doing what Jeremiah did!
