Daily Bible Nugget #78, John 3:18

The Nugget:

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

My Comment:

Those who believe on Christ are not condemned. But those who do not believe on Christ are condemned already. It is very necessary to believe on Christ to be saved. One cannot be neutral. Not to choose Christ is to not believe on Him. If it is necessary to believe on Christ to be saved, and it is, surely anyone who does not believe on Him is not saved. This makes it plain what every person must do to be right with God. But what does a person have to do to be lost? Nothing.

For those who desire to DIG DEEPER into this subject:

One Response to Daily Bible Nugget #78, John 3:18

  1. ken sagely says:

psm 119.97 oh how i love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

jn 3.18 he that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not
is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
    begotten son of god.

i always enjoy the cross refs on this verse its blessing to look them up.
    1. rom 5.1 therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with god
    through our lord jesus christ:
    2. rom 4.5-6 but to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth
the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness
    3. rom 4.6 even as david also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom
    god imputeth righteousness without works.
    4. rom 4.7 saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins
    are covered.
    5. rom 4.8 blessed is the man to whom the lord will not impute sin.
6 rom 4.20 he staggered not at the promise of god through unbelief:
but was strong in faith, giving glory to god:
    7. rom 4.21 and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was
    able to perform. vs 22 and therefore it was imputed to him;
    8. gal 3.22 but the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise
by faith of jesus christ might be given to them that believe.

isa 25.1 thou art my god i will exalt thee
