Daily Bible Nugget #40

The Nugget:

Luk 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

My Comment:

Can you remember when you first encountered this verse from the Bible? I must have been impressed by this verse at an early age. I can still remember thinking about this verse while I stood waiting my turn in the milk line when a student at Marshall Elementary School in Detroit many years ago. Times have changed since then, but the Word of God never changes. This is a good verse to learn by heart. It is also filled with encouraging instruction. It is another wonderful prayer promise.

For those who desire to DIG DEEPER into this subject:

(1) Consult the cross references given in Nelson’s Cross Reference Guide to the Bible on pages 1129-1130 for Luke 11:9.

(2) Consult the cross references given in The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge on page 1151 or in Logos 5 Bible software for Luke 11:9.

(3) Lacking access to those two resources, consult the cross references for this passage as I have developed them as given below:
