My Comment:
Psalm 34:15 is an encouraging Bible promise. Read in its context and in the light of what the rest of the Bible teaches, this promise holds true and is valid for today. A problem and question arises when each of us who believe and obey the Bible experience many times when specific prayer requests today go unanswered. There are many reasons given in the Bible for unanswered prayer. I have listed these at Psalm 66:18 in The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge and in the Ultimate Cross Reference Treasury. I have placed that information on this site. You can find my articles here by searching for “unanswered prayer” or “Psalm 66:18.” Another factor may also involve the “Silence of God,” which I have also discussed here. Use the search feature to find the articles posted here.
To dig deeper into the teaching of the Bible that relates to Psalm 34:15 read and study the cross references shared below from The Ultimate Cross Reference Treasury. I will add additional cross references here that are not given there.
You may wonder why I share such extensive cross references–more for each verse than you are likely to find anywhere else. If a Bible verse speaks of a matter about which you are deeply concerned and wish to know all the Bible has to say about, extensive cross references are likely the best way to find what the Bible teaches. Cross references enable you to experience that the Bible is often its own best commentary. Scripture interprets Scripture! When you don’t have the time, need, or interest to consult all the references, I have employed the * symbol to mark out some of the clearest references. I use the ** symbol to indicate crucially important verses you should not miss reading . I have employed the + symbol to show where additional references can be found for those who wish to dig still deeper.
