Daily Bible Nugget #653, Psalm 37:12-13

The Nugget:

Psa 37:12  The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
Psa 37:13  The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. (KJV)

Psa 37:12 Merciless people make plots against good people and snarl like animals,
Psa 37:13 but the Lord laughs and knows their time is coming soon. (CEV)

My Comment:

Despite all the negative and downright false news offered every day from our major news sources, don’t be discouraged. More people are waking up every day to recognize the falsehood of what is being promoted.

It is time to recognize that people who know and believe the truth outnumber those promoting and enforcing falsehood by as much as 100 to 1, according to the estimates I have heard and read.

Now if that estimate is too optimistic, just follow the advice found at Proverbs 11:30 in your Bible:

Pro 11:30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (KJV)

Pro 11:30  The fruit of a righteous person is a tree of life, and a winner of souls is wise. (GW)

Pro 11:30 Live right, and you will eat from the life-giving tree. And if you act wisely, others will follow. (CEV)

If each person who believes in Christ would reach just one other person so that they believe in Christ, we would double our numbers!

Reach others with the truth of the Gospel of Christ. Paul wrote in the first chapter of Romans that he was not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, and neither should we be ashamed:

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (KJV)

Rom 1:16  I’m not ashamed of the Good News. It is God’s power to save everyone who believes, Jews first and Greeks as well. (GW)

Rom 1:16 I am proud of the good news! It is God’s powerful way of saving all people who have faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. (CEV)

Jesus Himself spoke plainly about the negative consequences of being ashamed of Him or His words:

Mar 8:38  Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (KJV)

Mar 8:38  If people are ashamed of me and what I say in this unfaithful and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of those people when he comes with the holy angels in his Father’s glory. (GW)

Mar 8:38 Don’t be ashamed of me and my message among these unfaithful and sinful people! If you are, the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (CEV)

In my experience, I have found that if I live my life in accordance with what the Bible teaches people will come to me and ask about what makes me different from others they see and know. That opens the door for me to share with them about my faith in Christ and the source of that faith as found in the Bible. You can easily to the same. I believe that because few Christians are doing what I have done, many people who could be reached are not being reached and that has led to the mess we are in now.

Follow our Lord Jesus Christ and be part of the solution not the problem.

Though the wicked are busy plotting against the just, remember that the Lord shall laugh at them. It is a very interesting Bible study to see what the Bible teaches about what the Lord laughs at. If you make that study, you will quickly realize that when God laughs it is not funny at all:

Psalms 37:13
