Daily Bible Nugget #266, Jeremiah 15:16

The Nugget:

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

My Comment:

Saints rejoice in the Scriptures (The New Topical Textbook, subheading under main heading “The Scriptures,” page 240).

Jeremiah found God’s words, and they were to him the joy and rejoicing of his heart. That should be the response of everyone who reads and studies the Bible. Jeremiah found God’s words were as enjoyable as a delicious meal. God’s Word in the Bible is the food our spiritual life thrives upon. Of course, if one rarely or never takes in spiritual food from the Bible, that person’s spiritual life will be stunted, if not dead. Take time regularly to enjoy a spiritual meal from the Bible. If you want more joy in your life, if you desire more rejoicing in your life, you will find reading the Bible and studying the Bible will bring that joy and rejoicing to your life.
