Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Yesterday I posted as the Daily Bible Nugget #557 the Bible reference Genesis 1:21. I noticed that Genesis 1:21 was not the first mention of the expression “after his kind.” I also noticed that more good cross references are given at the verse which contains the first mention of this expression at Genesis 1:11.
Here are the other mentions as found in the King James Version of the Bible:

The central point the Bible makes is that all reproduction is “after its kind.” There is no cross-over between kinds or species. It is possible to dig still deeper into the nitty-gritty details, but that should not be necessary here.
