Your God ran away from his own creation out of fear. Read the verse in its immediate context. Read the verse from multiple English translations.<\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Not out of fear of repercussions from the Jews, but out of prudence Jesus walked away to the wilderness to avoid needless\u00a0confrontation with the Jewish leadership who were planning to kill Him for, as John expresses elsewhere in his Gospel, Jesus knew His &#8220;time was not yet&#8221; and His &#8220;hour had not yet come.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">I carefully gave you the answer to the issues and questions you raised by presenting for you the immediate context of John 11:54. His prudence you say. What was the reason of his prudence to stay free of harm from his own creation. He rebuked Peter for cutting off the High Priest&#8217;s servant&#8217;s ear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">He explained to Peter that He could summon twelve legions of angels for His defense should it be necessary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">But all this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.<\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest&#8217;s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant&#8217;s name was Malchus.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Joh 18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Notice particularly John 18:6, which states &#8220;As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">That is the historical record.
