Pro 25:5\u00a0 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness. (KJV)<\/p>\n

Pro 25:5\u00a0 Keep evil advisers away from the king and his government will be known for its justice. (GNB, Good News Bible)<\/p>\n

Pro 25:5 Take away evil-doers from before the king, and the seat of his power will be made strong in righteousness. (BBE, Bible in Basic English)<\/p>\n

Pro 25:5\u00a0 Slay the ungodly from before the king, and his throne shall prosper in righteousness. (LXX, Brenton translation)<\/p>\n

Pro 25:5\u00a0 And if you purge corruption from the kingdom, a king\u2019s reign will be established in righteousness. (TPT, The Passion Translation)<\/p>\n

My Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Though the Bible was written long ago, its wisdom is still much needed today.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 25:5, especially when read in multiple translations, looks to me like it is very pertinent to recent and contemporary political issues.<\/p>\n

We must be very careful who we support for elective office! We must be very careful to supervise the education our children receive.<\/p>\n

2 Chronicles 19:2
\n2\u00a0 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

We must not support in any way policies that are morally wrong in the light of what the Bible teaches.<\/p>\n
