Isa 1:17\u00a0 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. (KJV)<\/p>\n

Isa 1:17 Learn to do what is right!
\nPromote justice!
\nGive the oppressed reason to celebrate!
\nTake up the cause of the orphan!
\nDefend the rights of the widow! (NET Bible)<\/p>\n

Isa 1:17\u00a0 learn to do well; diligently seek judgment, deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan, and obtain justice for the widow. (LXX, Brenton translation)<\/p>\n

Isa 1:17\u00a0 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Arrest oppressors. Defend orphans. Plead the case of widows.” (GW, God’s Word translation)<\/p>\n

Isa 1:15 “No matter how much you pray, I won’t listen. You are too violent.
\nIsa 1:16 Wash yourselves clean! I am disgusted with your filthy deeds. Stop doing wrong
\nIsa 1:17 and learn to live right. See that justice is done. Defend widows and orphans and help those in need.” (CEV, Contemporary English Version)<\/p>\n

My Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Resorting to lies and violence is utterly reprehensible. At this present time flagrant lies passing as news reports that are merely agenda-driven propaganda for a particular political party have led to violence.<\/p>\n

God does not look favorably upon violence:<\/p>\n

Gen 6:5\u00a0 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.<\/p>\n

Gen 6:11\u00a0 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.<\/p>\n

The Bible records that God sent the great flood of Noah’s time to destroy all human life that was upon this earth because of the violence and wickedness prevalent in society at that time.<\/p>\n

Jesus spoke of the wickedness and evil of Noah’s day:<\/p>\n

Luk_17:26\u00a0 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.<\/p>\n

Mat 24:37\u00a0 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.<\/p>\n

Jesus has told us that at the time of His return the world will be evil just as it was in Noah’s day.<\/p>\n

The Bible declares that those who practice evil will reap the unfortunate reward it brings:<\/p>\n

Num 32:23\u00a0 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.<\/p>\n

Rom 6:23\u00a0 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n

When the Bible declares that the wages of sin is death, physical death is not the penalty, rather, the reference is to spiritual death.<\/p>\n<\/fb:like><\/fb:like><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
