My Comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Scriptures are designed for sanctification. The English word “sanctify” is probably not in common use today except in religious circles. Modern English translations translate “Consecrate them by your truth” (Williams); “Hallow them in the truth” (Emphasized Bible); “Make them holy by the true word” (Bible in Basic English); “Set them apart in the truth” (NET Bible). However it is translated, it is God’s Word that produces the sanctification in our lives. That reminds me of what Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3). You can see that the Bible can have a powerful, positive influence for good in the lives of those who will read it and come to believe it.<\/p>\n
