Daily Bible Nugget #50, Ecclesiastes 7:20

The Nugget:

Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

My Comment:

This first verse on the “Verses about Salvation” list is an Old Testament verse that teaches that all have sinned. When I first assembled this list as a teenager myself, I selected this verse to learn because I wanted to be able to share the plan of salvation using exclusively Old Testament verses to share with Jewish friends without using the New Testament. Of course, the Old Testament verses would work just fine with anyone else as well. Except for the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, there are absolutely NO exceptions to the truth declared by this verse.

For those who desire to DIG DEEPER into this subject:

(1) Consult the cross references given in Nelson’s Cross Reference Guide to the Bible on page 696 for Ecclesiastes 7:20.

(2) Consult the cross references given in The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge on page 733 or in Logos 5 Bible software for Ecclesiastes 7:20.

(3) Lacking access to those two resources, consult the cross references for this passage as I have developed them as given below:
