   I really great tool, recommend it highly, its far much more than just a normal reference tool. You feel you have a commentary and dictionary and more in it, and its easy to use.

   But a question. I try to figure out this figure of speech index number, like in isa 1:2, it says O heavens, FS38G etc etc. So FS38G is in a red colour. Are that number 38 a index, and G stands for greek? If its so, I struggle to find that figure of speech index in e-sword. I have E.W Bullinger installed on my E-sword, and a lot of other stuff to.

   And how do I reach that a full alphabetical list, index pointed at in the documentations?

   Dear Hugo,

   Thank you for your very good question.

   Here is the answer:

   At Isaiah 1:2, keywords O Heavens, the Figure of Speech number FS38G is keyed to +Deuteronomy 32:1.

   If you click on the red FS38G number, it will bring up in the Dictionaries (lower left quadrant) the entry “FS38G To inanimate things. Deu 32:1.”

   If you click on Deau 32:1 it will take you to that passage in the UCRT, where you will see the explanation:

   ”
   heavens. FS38G. Apostrophe: a turning aside from the direct subject matter to address others. Here, apostrophe to inanimate things F/S 904, For other instances of this figure see 2Sa_1:21, 1Ki_13:2, Psa_114:5; Psa_148:3-5, Isa_1:2, Jer_2:12; Jer_22:29; Jer_47:6, Eze_13:11; Eze_36:4; Eze_36:8, Hos_13:14, Joe_2:21, Mic_6:1-2, Zec_11:1-2.”

   Notice the reference to F/S 904. That indicates that on page 904 of Bullinger’s book, Figures of Speech used in the Bible, you will find this figure of speech listed and explained.

   In many places you may eventually discover that I give references to more passages where a figure will be found than are listed in Bullinger. I found many of these in the margins of The Companion Bible, and still more from Bullinger’s other writings. Sometimes Matthew Poole’s Commentary led to additional references, as well as other sources I have here in my personal library.
